Fitness Offerings for Youth and Teens

The YMCA offers a variety of youth and teen fitness programming, including:

Brandywine YMCA

Teen Strength and Conditioning

This trainer-led program is for athletes and aspiring athletes ages 13-18. The program teaches age-appropriate strength and conditioning techniques including High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), strength, mobility and flexibility.

Athletic Conditioning

Whether it’s the pre-season or in-season, this small group training will focus on building upon the fundamentals of conditioning for an athlete to reach their maximum potential. Led by experienced trainers in the field of strength and conditioning, this program will cover: combo strength, cardio, speed, and agility.

Ninja Training: Beginner

Our beginner ninja program will teach members how to be a ninja warrior with one of our certified Ninja instructors. Ninjas will learn techniques, skills, and will participate in different activities and games while on the Ninja course.

Teen Fit at East Chestnut Fitness

Teen Fit is a strength and conditioning program designed for athletes and non-athletes ages 14-18. The program combines age-appropriate weight lifting with high-intensity interval training to deliver top fitness and performance, while increasing agility, mobility and flexibility.

The Pre-Teen Fit class is a conditioning program designed for athletes and non-athletes ages 11-13. The program combines age appropriate strength and interval training while increasing agility, mobility and flexibility. Social distanced, clean and limited space available.
