Register for Before & After School Enrichment

The YMCA’s Before and After School Enrichment (BASE) program is held in the safe, secure, and familiar setting of your child’s school or local YMCA. Our program and staff provide a supportive environment for your child to grow and expand their interests beyond the classroom.

BUT when school districts are closed, the YMCA-licensed BASE programs are open! We call them Y-Days, which provide care at your local YMCA location from 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM. Children enrolled in Y Days experience fun activities, using all the features of our branch locations including arts and sports - at some locations swimming too! You can register for each Y day that you need so you never have to purchase more than what you need! Y Days are first come first serve.

As a participant in the Keystone STARS program, you can rest assured that your child is experiencing the highest-quality learning and enrichment standards. Review the family handbook or use the change form to make changes to your registration.

The YMCA of Greater Brandywine strives to enrich each child’s school experience, support our school districts and give our parents peace of mind. Our trained staff engages children with exercise, learning activities and homework assistance while incorporating the Y’s core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

The YMCA handles all aspects of program administration and provides parents with affordable, flexible options. Additionally, full day care is matched to most school days off.

Our programs are either offered onsite at the schools in the districts we serve or at our YMCA facilities, allowing for greater flexibility in scheduling and programming. Nut-free snacks are provided at each location.
