The YMCA’s Before and After School Enrichment (BASE) program is held in the safe, secure, and familiar setting of your child’s school or local YMCA. Our program and staff provide a supportive environment for your child to grow and expand their interests beyond the classroom.

We're Open!
When school districts are closed, the YMCA-licensed BASE programs are open! We call them Y-Days, which provide care at your local YMCA location from 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM. Y Days are first come first serve.
Accessibility
Our Before and After School Enrichment (BASE) programs are located at school districts throughout Chester County: Avon Grove, Great Valley, Kennett, Octorara, Oxford, Unionville-Chadds Ford and West Chester School Districts.
Financial Assistance
Our fundraising efforts help us to provide financial assistance and income-based membership to ensure that YMCA memberships and/or programs are available for all individuals and families in our community.

Through the Jennersville YMCA, before and after-school care is available for children in kindergarten through fifth grade at the following schools.

Great Valley
Through the Upper Main Line YMCA, before and after-school care is available for children in kindergarten through sixth grade at the schools listed below. For Great Valley School District ONLY, parents can register for 1-day care/week through 5 days of care/week online.

At the Oscar Lasko YMCA and Childcare Center in downtown West Chester, an after-school academy is available for children in kindergarten through eighth grade.

At pick up expect to speak with primary teachers about your child's day and share any updates to their schedule so we can provide the best possible quality care.
- A sign-in/out area will be available when you arrive at the site.
- Photo identification could be checked daily.
- YGBW Members receive discounts on BASE programs.
