Preschool and Childcare Programs at the YMCA
The YMCA is the largest provider of licensed childcare in Chester County. Led by degreed teachers, children flourish in warm, supportive environments, as they develop the essential skills needed for success in school and life.
We offer many childcare and early learning programs for children six weeks old to six years old. Our programs provide research-based curriculum known as Frog Street, which addresses the cognitive, language, literacy, physical, and social-emotional developmental domains of each child. We have incorporated content from Conscious Discipline® strategies for social-emotional development. In addition, we help prepare a child for kindergarten and beyond with STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) content and resources, including our coding robot, Frog-E.
Our programs participate in the Keystone STARS program, which promotes high-quality standards in early learning and school-age programs.
Because of the YMCA’s facilities and offerings, many of our programs also include swim lessons, gymnastics, music and more.* Moreover, classes available at the YMCA such as dance and karate can be added on to your child’s day, with YMCA staff ensuring each child moves safely from one activity to the next.
*programs vary by location.
