Child Watch and Babysitting Benefits

Family members are invited to enjoy two types of babysitting services where our trained staff care for your child in a fun and stimulating environment. Care is available for children ages 6 months - 12 years. 

Child Watch - A free service for members to enjoy while they work out or participate in activities within the branch. Some branches have a separate Kids Zone, which is for older children. 

Sitter Service - A paid babysitting service for members who need to leave the facility for an appointment, to run errands, etc. Sitter Service is $5 per child, per hour.

Events and Community Offerings

Members enjoy access to hundreds of free events including Family Fun Nights, Parents Night Out, active older adult events, Saturday Night Lights and so much more! 

  • Parents' Night Out - Parents' Night Out is free for family members and is offered at seven locations. Registration is required prior to the PNO dates. Register and enjoy and evening out on us!
     
  • Saturday Night Lights - Our Y's stay open late on Saturday Nights for kids in grades 6 - 9 to have a safe and supervised place to hang out with existing friends or make new friends. Kids enjoy full use of our gyms, can go for a dip in the pool, hang and play games or just unwind. Learn more.
     
  • Active Older Adult Events - The Y has a wide variety of options for older adults interested in learning bridge, discussing their latest book at book club or socializing at a luncheon or senior social.

The YMCA offers many ways to give back to your friends and neighbors through our Thanksgiving Drive, Angel Tree program, youth sports coaching, STRIDE program and numerous other volunteer opportunities.
