Starting in 2025, YGBW swim lesson levels will align with the following six-stage curriculum.
As the needs of our community change over time, we regularly solicit feedback from our staff and program participants. Over the past year, the feedback from both groups has been clear and has informed our decision to separate swim lessons by swim level and age range. This change will allow our staff to meet the needs of each participant, enabling participants to make clear and steady progress. Learn more about this upcoming change.
Swimming lessons are open to current YMCA of Greater Brandywine members and guests and you do not need to have an active membership to participate.
YMCA members do benefit from program discounts and priority enrollment periods in addition to numerous other benefits. To learn more about membership options, inquire at your local YMCA or visit our membership section.
Please consult our registration calendar for a complete list of registration dates.
