ForeverWell Impact Tour Showcases the Power of Connection and Community
On Tuesday, October 28, community leaders, partners, and guests gathered at the Jennersville YMCA to experience the transformative impact of ForeverWell—a signature YMCA of Greater Brandywine initiative designed to support adults ages 55 and above in living healthier, more connected, and purpose-driven lives.
ForeverWell empowers older adults through five key dimensions of well-being—mind, body, spirit, community, and nature—offering evidence-based fitness classes, enrichment workshops, volunteer opportunities, and social gatherings that strengthen physical health and emotional connection alike.
During the Impact Tour, attendees heard heartfelt stories from ForeverWell participants who have found renewed purpose and belonging through the Y:
Carol Miley shared how moving to Chester County left her feeling isolated until she discovered the ForeverWell community. Through friendships, volunteerism, and shared experiences, Carol found a renewed sense of home and joy.
Mike Urbanik inspired the audience with his story of perseverance—after years of training and support from the Y’s cycling community, he completed a 400-mile bike ride, demonstrating the incredible potential of older adults to stay active and achieve their goals.
The tour was led by Nic Legere, District Executive Director; Noelle Topmiller, Senior Program Director; and Nora Ganow, Program Coordinator of Health & Wellness, who emphasized how the Y’s holistic approach to healthy aging fosters not just fitness—but friendship, purpose, and resilience.
Attendees included representatives from Jenner’s Pond, regional health partners, local officials, and members of the YMCA’s leadership and advisory boards—all united in their shared commitment to ensuring older adults in Southern Chester County have access to the programs and connections that help them thrive.
The Jennersville YMCA’s ForeverWell community continues to grow, empowering participants to live with purpose, stay connected, and embrace the fullness of life at every age.
