Summer is just around the corner — and with it, increased downtime and screen time for children. That's why having a summer plan matters.

Join us on Saturday, April 18, to learn how to build a balanced summer for your family — including physical activity, social connection and educational enrichment for a healthy mind, body and spirit.

About Healthy Kids Day:

  • Free and open to the public - As part of our mission to focus on healthy spirit, mind and body for all, we are proud to offer Healthy Kids Day to the community, free of charge.
  • Inflatables - Bounce and climb into action in one of our moonbounces or inflatable obstacle courses.
  • Games - From corn hole to field games, your family will learn that wellness extends beyond the gym.
  • Demos - YMCA staff will demonstrate healthy habits for the family. Demos vary by location and may include yoga, dance, group exercise and pickleball.
  • Community Health - Community service providers and first responders will help you learn about mental health, dental health and more.
  • Summer Camp Preview - YMCA camp staff will be on hand to give you a preview of Summer Camp and to answer any questions that you have.
  • Community Food Drive - Support a healthy summer for all in the community. Bring a canned good to donate to one of our local food pantries. Learn about the most needed items.

Learn More About Keeping Kids Healthy

If you aren't able to join us for Healthy Kids Day, you can still encourage healthy habits at home. Strive for a balance of activities throughout the day - focusing on ones that move your body and relax your mind. Prioritize eating natural foods, drinking water throughout the day and getting to bed on time.

At the Y, we are here to support your wellness journey all year long - not just on Healthy Kids Day.
