Fredericka Christmas
Executive Director
Freddy Christmas serves as the Executive Director of the Coatesville YMCA. Previously, she served as the Executive Director of the Columbia North branch of the Greater Philadelphia YMCA. Freddy is an experienced YMCA professional with more than 13 years of experience. She began her Y career as Lifeguard in North Philadelphia where she quickly fell in love with the mission to serve the community.
“There is so much to love about working for the Y,” she shares. “I especially love working with youth – not only teaching them how to swim and be safe around water – but also helping them become the best versions of themselves.”
During her tenure at the West Philadelphia Y, Freddy partnered with local high schools to offer a comprehensive program for youth. Students learned to swim and received job training and employment opportunities within the Y. Outside the Y, Freddy enjoys traveling to Bangkok and Phuket in Thailand among other locations. In her spare time, she loves to cook, swim, paint and dance. Freddy resides in Philadelphia with her husband.
