Suicide is one of the leading causes of death among youth aged 10-24.
This session is designed to raise awareness and provide essential information about teen suicide for families and community members. Participants will gain an understanding of the common misconceptions of suicide and learn to recognize the warning signs of teen suicide.
The session will also highlight practical strategies families can use to support teens, foster open communication and create emotionally safe environments. Finally, participants will learn about community resources available for support.
This talk is presented by Children's Hospital of Philadelphia's King of Prussia Campus and hosts are Stacey Julye, PhD, LMFT, LCSW & Cherie Gerstadt, PhD (she/ her)
