“Run for Good” in the YMCA of Greater Brandywine’s first virtual 5K
Help ensure our community’s children have an incredible summer while supporting your own health and wellness!
The YMCA of Greater Brandywine’s first-ever virtual 5K is being held from Saturday, April 24 through Saturday, May 1. During that time, participants run or walk a 5K at a time and place of their choosing—it can be on a treadmill, at your Y, neighborhood street, a trail, or anywhere you like.
How to Register
You can register individually or as a team at our race website. Those who register by Sunday, April 4 will receive early bird pricing and are guaranteed a special commemorative Run for Good t-shirt. After registering, you’ll be able to print your digital race bib.
- Early Bird Registration - $28/runner. You are guaranteed a special commemorative Run for Good t-shirt in your chosen size.
- Regular Registration - $35/runner. Run for Good t-shirts will be provided on a first-come, first-serve basis.
- T-shirts can be picked up at Healthy Kids Day on Saturday, April 24 or at your local YGBW branch thereafter.
Run or Walk Your 5K
While running or walking your 5K, be sure to post photos to your social media channels using the hashtag #RunfodGoodYGBW. Upon completing your 5K during the race period, print your finisher’s certificate and report your race time at our race website. Prizes will be raffled off to race finishers throughout the week!
What You’re Supporting
All proceeds from the Run for Good support our Annual “CAMP-aign” to ensure every child in Chester County has the opportunity for an incredible summer. Children have been greatly impacted by the pandemic and are craving social engagement, activity, adventure and fun—all of which are available safely through the YMCA’s summer camps!
