Blood Pressure Self-Monitoring and Enhance Fitness are enrolling NOW at select YGBW branches - along with our popular LIVESTRONG at the Y program for cancer survivors. No matter what you are facing, our FREE evidence-based programs will support you on your journey.
LIVESTRONG at the YMCA is a health and wellness program developed and established in partnership with the LIVESTRONG Foundation to assist those who are living with, through or beyond cancer to strengthen their spirit, mind and body. The 12-week program includes cardiovascular conditioning, strength training, and balance and flexibility exercises and is facilitated by certified instructors.
Coatesville: Tuesday/Thursday 12:30 - 2:00 starting September 2
Lionville: Tuesday/Thursday 11:00-12:30 starting September 16
Upper Mainline Y: Monday/Wednesday 1:30-3:00 starting September 15
Kennett: Tuesday/Thursday 2:00-3:30 starting September 30
West Chester: Tuesday/Thursday 3:30-5:00 starting September 16 AND 5:30-7:00 starting September 16
Jennersville: Monday/Wednesday 12:30-2:00 starting September 8
Enhance Fitness: Modified Moves, Maximum Benefit. Enhance Fitness is a 16-week evidence-based group exercise program that uses simple, easy-to-learn movements that motivate older adults to stay active throughout their lives.

Blood Pressure Self-Monitoring: The four-month program focuses on regular home self-monitoring of one’s blood pressure using proper measuring techniques, one-on-one consultations with a trained Healthy Heart Ambassador, individualized support and group-based nutrition education for better blood pressure management.
