Meet Melissa Landrin, Our New BASE Director at the Upper Main Line Y

Headshot for Melissa Landrin

Melissa Landrin joined the YMCA of Greater Brandywine team in June 2022 as the Before and After School Enrichment Director for the Upper Main Line YMCA. Prior to joining the YGBW team, Melissa was most recently the Director for the Warwick Childcare Before and After School program that served the Great Valley School District. During her time at Warwick, she maintained a Keystone Stars 4-star quality rating in each of the centers she managed. Melissa also has prior experience in the classroom as a preschool teacher, long-term substitute teacher and instructional. She is looking forward to continuing to work with the GVSD families and personnel and bringing her experience, knowledge and relationships to the YMCA program

She holds her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Spanish from Cabrini University in Radnor, PA and a Master’s Degree in Education: Instructional Leadership from Neumann University in Aston, PA.

Outside of her passion for working with children and teachers, Melissa has a passion for music and sports.  She created her own website where she reviews independent musicians and helps these artists to reach a larger audience.  Melissa is an avid fan of Villanova basketball and the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers.  In her spare time, Melissa enjoys relaxing with a good book or spending time with her boyfriend, family, and friends.

We are excited to welcome Melissa to the YGBW team and look forward to seeing the amazing things she has in store for the BASE program at GVSD.
