Safety Around Water
The World is 71% Water. Children are 100% curious.
Accidental drowning is the leading cause of death for children under the age of 15.
Our Safety Around Water program teaches children critical and potentially life-saving skills, opening a world of possibilities for them to safely satisfy their curiosity. We understand that the world is 71% water and children are 100% curious.
During Safety Around Water events, which are held throughout the year in partnership with several area school districts and community groups, aquatics instructors teach children to safely enter and exit a body of water – and how to respond when in deep water. Children are split into small groups and rotate through stations where they strengthen their skills.
