Pre-K Counts at Jennersville YMCA

What to Expect of Pre-K Counts at the Jennersville YMCA

  • Teachers with the education and expertise to teach young children.
  • A curriculum that will help your child grow academically and socially.
    • Lunch and snacks are provided during the day. 
  • Regular review of your child’s progress to choose the best teaching strategies as well as prepare them for a smooth transition to kindergarten.
     
  • The program runs from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday – Friday.
    • We will follow the school calendar for the Avon Grove School District and will be starting on Monday, August 25, 2025.
  • Wrap-around care is an additional charge. Financial Assistance would be available.
  • Students who qualify for CCW are automatically eligible.

    • Lunch and snacks are provided during the day. 
  • Regular review of your child’s progress to choose the best teaching strategies as well as prepare them for a smooth transition to kindergarten.
     
  • The program runs from 8 AM to 1:30 PM, Monday – Friday.
    • We will follow the school calendar for the Octorara School District which started on Monday, August 25, 2025.
  • Wrap-around care is an additional charge. Financial Assistance would be available.
  • Students who qualify for CCW are automatically eligible.

Who is Eligible for Pre-K Counts?

PA Pre-K Counts serves children ages 3 through kindergarten entry from families earning up to 300% of the federal poverty level. Learn more at education.pa.gov
Applicants must provide proof of Pennsylvania residency, the child’s birth certificate for age verification, and income documentation, such as consecutive pay stubs or a tax return.

How Much Does Pre-K Counts Cost?

PA Pre-K Counts is free to families. Wrap-around care is an additional charge however Financial Assistance would be available. Students who qualify for CCW are automatically eligible.

Babysitting & CPR Classes

Adolescents learn to be medically responsible, creative and attentive babysitters. View available babysitting classes or dive deeper and receive your certification with CPR and First Aid classes - which gives you the information and skills you need to help adults, children and infants during breathing, cardiac, and first aid emergencies.
