Childcare Offerings & Programs

Preschool & Early Learning

For children ages 6 weeks to 6 years, our qualified teachers instruct using the Frog Street Curriculum offering daily experiences in cognitive language, literacy and physical and social-emotional development domains to develop the whole child.

Montessori

Offered at our Kennett Area YMCA and West Chester Area YMCA, the Montessori method of education values the human spirit and the development of the whole child. Children choose their activities, and discover language, mathematics, science, art and music.

Before & After School Enrichment

Located in the safe and familiar setting of your child's school or local Y, our program and staff provide a supportive environment for your child to grow and expand their interests beyond the classroom.

School Break Care

When school is closed your children can be cared for at the Y. Many Y Days are scheduled, but they are also available when unexpected issues arise such as weather-related school closings. Care is from 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM.

Environmental & STEM Programs

Our Education and STEM programs offer an early introduction to a wide variety of concepts and teach science, technology, engineering, math, sign language and more through creative play, setting a foundation for being successful in school and in life.
