PHILADELPHIA (August 9, 2023) - The Association of Pickleball Players (APP), the nation’s preeminent pickleball tour for elite professionals and amateurs, is coming to Philadelphia for its upcoming event, the 2023 APP Philadelphia Open, held August 23 - 27 in Berwyn, PA.

The 2022 APP Philadelphia Open welcomed more than 400 players. 

The APP will host a special media event at the Upper Main Line YMCA in Berwyn on Wednesday, August 23 to preview the event and the rapidly growing sport of pickleball. Several of the sport’s top professionals will be in attendance and available to meet with the media, as well as members of the YMCA and APP leadership teams. 

Media in attendance will have exclusive access to interviews, hitting demos, and photo opportunities with players of all levels including top professional pickleball players in the world.

• Media session with pickleball pros and APP tournament leadership – Wednesday, August 23 at from 3 - 5 PM
• Stories and opportunities around local players participating in the tournament.
