Qigong, an exercise program for all levels of physical strength, involves the gathering of external and internal energy (qi) through the working (gong) of the body and mind in unison. This can be done either sitting or standing and requires no equipment. Some examples include the development of breathing techniques, stretches, flowing movements, tapping, self massage and meditation. Through the practice of basic Qigong, we can improve co-ordination, balance, flexibility, mindfulness and calmness of spirit.
