Update: New Orders Issued
In compliance with the orders issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the following changes are in effect at all branches of the YMCA of Greater Brandywine from Saturday, December 12 through Monday, January 4 at 8 AM.
What's Changed as of 12.11.2020
- Indoor Wellness - Our indoor wellness centers, gymnasiums, tennis courts and pools will be closed.
- Youth Basketball - Our youth basketball season will be postponed and restart the week of 1/4/21.
- Swim Lessons – Swim lessons will be paused and restart the week of 1/4/21.
- Additional Programs – For programs currently running such as dance and theater, look for an email from your program director with specific details.

Just as you’ve come to expect, we’re still here for our community and are offering countless ways for you to continue staying strong and healthy. We’re excited to provide the following:
- Wellness - YGBW Members have exclusive access to numerous fitness options:

At any time, you can view a full schedule of our virtual classes here on our website. Our virtual offerings will be quickly expanded within the next few days to include additional senior-focused and specialty group exercise classes.
- Outdoor Fitness Classes - We will be quickly ramping up and adding more outdoor fitness classes. View schedule.

- Outdoor Family Activities - Stay tuned for some exciting outdoor family activities we will offer!
- Childcare and Early Learning Centers (CELC) and Learning Centers – Our childcare and early learning centers, as well as our learning centers for students doing remote learning so that their parents/guardians can work during the school day, remain open and continue to follow the careful measures we have implemented to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
- Outdoor Tennis – Outdoor tennis for those over the age of 18 is available at the Upper Main Line YMCA. Unfortunately, per the State’s order, in person sports, even if outdoors, are not permitted for those under 18.
- Swim Team - Our swim team practices will continue and be held virtually on dry land. Your coach will be in touch with details.
- Gymnastics – Gymnastics programming will continue and be held virtually. Your coach will be in touch with details.
- Personal Training - Personal training will continue virtually and outdoors.
- Winter 2021 Programming – We will begin our winter programs as planned on 1/4/21, so if you’re registered, you do not need to do anything further.
