The YMCA of Greater Brandywine is excited to announce the installation of new cardio equipment in all Wellness Centers. The new state-of-the-art equipment will feature large digital touchscreen displays, wireless charging and connectivity and more! 

The YGBW team has spent several months testing equipment and negotiating with vendors and the installation of new equipment will begin on April 1, 2024. Please note the areas closed below during installation.

Staff will be on hand to help answer questions and guide members through the new equipment. All new equipment will require wireless headphones, which can be connected via Bluetooth.

YGBW underwent a wellness center study in 2022 and made large investments in strength equipment. With the arrival of our new President & CEO, Bertram L. Lawson, II, in July 2023, additional research was conducted to determine how we can improve the value of YGBW membership. With the Board of Directors support, it was determined that YGBW would invest in our facilities by replacing and updating cardio equipment before June 2024. 

*Date subject to change. Installations are currently scheduled between April 1 - April 23. Every effort will be made to minimize the disruption to members and staff and vendors will remove old equipment, clean and install new equipment within the same day whenever possible.
