This February there are lots of reasons to get out of house and into the Y - art, basketball, pickleball, nature and quality time – to name a few.

If you are looking for a reason to get out and about, keep reading to learn about events coming up this month at the Y. Don’t miss out!

  1. February 1, 8 or 15: Community Kindness Art Project
In partnership with Ben’s Bells, your friends at the Lionville Community YMCA are opening up the ceramics studio for three Wednesdays in February. Attendees will create colorful ceramic bells to be hung around the community as symbols of kindness for others to find and take home. By the time each Bell is hung, many hands have had a part in its journey, and it represents the efforts of an entire community coming together in kindness.

Ben’s Bells was founded over 20 years ago by a grieving mother who wanted to spread small acts of kindness in her community. Be part of our community of caring by joining this project.

  2. February 6: Youth Basketball Leagues
Another session of winter basketball begins on February 6. Children ages 3 – 13 will have fun while learning teamwork and sportsmanship. Younger players will focus on the basics of basketball including dribbling, passing, and shooting while older children will build upon basic skills and focus on strategy and play development. Browse our collection of leagues and register today.
