Summer is the ideal time to get children out and exploring, but for some, (especially this past year) the end of the school year can mean limited access to recreational and educational activities which help them learn, grow and thrive.
Meet Cassidy, Karen and Riley. They're here to share their first summer experience with Y camp!
Hear from previous camp parents on what summer camp at the Y means to them and their kids.
Elizabeth Says:
My daughter has had nothing but positive feedback about camp. She’s more open about activities that previously intimidated her and is learning how to make new friends. Very grateful that this was an option for parents & children during a very stressful time.
Georgette Says:
"We were so grateful for the Y being open for summer camp during 2020. What a blessing it was to have peace of mind knowing my sons were safe (due to the obvious safety controls that were in place) AND that they were having a great time, making new friends and socializing. This was so important during the pandemic and served as an oasis for the kids to get out of the house and a savior for working parents.
We are already signed up for 2021! Thank you from the bottom of my heart! "
Brandon Says:
You gave the kids a fun exciting summer during a very un-fun time. THANK YOU for making my son laugh, smile and come home dirty! Your camp let my son be a kid during the worst year ever. I will be forever thankful to the Y for that.
