Learn more about the YMCA Community Resource Pantries made possible with support from generous donors and the United Way.

Where are the community resource pantries located?

The YMCA of Greater Brandywine hosts two community resource pantries - at the Oscar Lasko YMCA in downtown West Chester and at the Lionville Community YMCA in Exton.

What items can I donate to the community resource pantries?

The Oscar Lasko YMCA Community Resource Pantry and the Lionville Community YMCA Resource Panty accept donations year-round.

  • The Oscar Lasko location collects toiletries - including shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, conditioner, feminine products, diapers, etc. We are working to be supplemental to the items available at food banks.
  • The Lionville Community YMCA location collects non-perishable food items and toiletries. Non-perishable food items include cereal, canned fruit and vegetables, instant meals, rice, beans, water, healthy snacks, bottle water, etc and toiletries include shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, conditioner, feminine products, diapers, baby formula, etc.

How can I use the pantry?

The resource pantry is available for anyone to utilize. Simply stop by the front desk and let them know you would like to collect items from the pantry.
