YMCA swim team participants improve individual skills while swimming competitively both at the local and national levels. Coaches focus on proper technique while helping participants improve their endurance, learn teamwork and make friends. Competitive swim teams are available at six YMCA branches.

The Brandywine Coatesville Lionville YMCA Swim Team offers year-round competitive swimming for ages 5 to 19, including a 26-week winter season, eight-week spring clinic and an eight-week summer season. New swimmers wishing to be on the swim team need to attend an assessment.
Our mission is to build a life-long love and appreciation of the sport of swimming. We believe that swimming is a medium through which discipline, leadership, responsibility, teamwork, determination and sportsmanship are developed and learned. Our goal is that these characteristics extend beyond the pool. We strive to offer a complete swimming program through which athletes can reach their potential through realistic goal setting in an exciting, fun and educational environment. Our goal is to be a program which is fundamentally built upon modern technical swimming while also having fun.

The Kennett Jennersville Area Sea Turtles offer year round competitive swimming for ages 5 to 19, including a winter season, academy and summer season. New swimmers must pass a swim team test in order to be placed on the team.
The Kennett Jennersville Area Sea Turtles provides an opportunity for children to enjoy competitive swimming in a safe, fun and friendly atmosphere. Like all YMCA sports programs, competitive swimming and diving programs are based on the values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

The Upper Main Line YMCA Swim Team offers year round competitive swimming for ages 6 to 18. The swim program consists of an academy to bridge swimmers from lessons to swim team, a competitive academy, the fall/winter swim team season, a spring session and summer Otters. Tryouts are required.
The team at UMLY has grown steadily from its early beginnings to a highly competitive YMCA and USA team. Our YMCA swimming program offers excellent competition at varying levels including dual meets, League championships, District Championships, State Championships and YMCA Nationals. We are also a member of the Middle Atlantic LSC and participate in USA competition including Mini meets and Level A, B and C meets.
West Chester Area YMCA Marlins
West Chester Area YMCA Marlins
The West Chester Area YMCA Marlins Swim Team offers year round competitive swimming for ages 6 to 19, including a 25-week winter swim team and a spring/summer season. Evaluations are required for either program.
The West Chester Marlins Swim Team promotes technique-driven training which allows our athletes to find fitness through proper stroke execution. The WCAY Marlins compete in the YMCA Penn-Del Swim League, Brandywine Swim League and USA Swimming.
