3D Modeling Camp AM (Full Day) - BY - 2020

Students will experience 3D modeling through TINKERCAD. Students are introduced to basic skills such as navigating 3-dimensional spaces, grouping, cutting, duplicating shapes, and mirroring objects. Each completed project reinforces these core skills while exposing students to ways that 3D models can be designed for printing applications. This course is primarily designed for middle school, and the skills are transferable to other 3D modeling software. TINKERCAD uses primary 3-dimensional shapes to simplify the modeling process so that students can focus on core concepts and techniques. The capstone project will have students practice prototyping and rapid iteration by designing a Rube Goldberg machine. See a 3D printer in action and learn a new skill that is in high demand.
