Marie Pepper
I grew up in Springfield, Delaware County. Through middle and high school, I participated in many sports and extra-curricular activities and was a three-sport varsity athlete (volleyball, basketball and lacrosse). After high school, I continued my lacrosse career at West Chester University and since college, I have worked as a high school lacrosse coach for several school districts.
I have been working at the YMCA since 2012 as a wellness floor attendant, Personal Trainer and small group instructor. You may even catch me substituting a Boot Camp class in the early mornings! I love working with everyone willing to put in the work! I love connecting with the community through health and fitness from beginners to high school athletes to seniors and everyone in between.
I believe that life is 10% of what happens to you and 90% how you react to it. I enjoy running marathons - running over 10 marathons and my first full marathon in 2019 - and have spent the last ten years doing the Multiple Sclerosis City to Shore 150-mile bike ride raising thousands of dollars for the cause.
I have been married for ten years, and have two children, Gavin (6) and Madison (4).
