Growing up on a farm outside of Lewes, Delaware, taught me the importance of hard work and responsibility. In high school, I was on the varsity baseball, soccer, and wrestling teams. After going to college and serving in the Marine Corps Reserve, I was an English teacher and coach for twenty years. During my career, I ran an after-school and summer fitness club for high school and college students. I am the Director of Health and Wellness at the Kennett Area YMCA where I also have worked as a personal trainer for the last five years.
My primary method for helping clients exceed their wellness goals is to create workouts from scratch by combining elements from the latest exercise science and research with fundamental fitness principles.
Hobbies: I enjoy following the Flyers, Eagles, Phillies, and Sixers as well as Villanova Basketball. I also enjoy reading fiction and non-fiction literature and listening to classic rock.
