Public Safety & Veterans
The Y is proud to waive the join fee for Public Safety employees.This includes police officers, fire fighters, EMTs as well as veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces. Those who fall into one of these categories are eligible for 10% off their monthly membership fee and a waived join fee. To sign up please bring your DD214 form (veterans) or proof of employment to your preferred YMCA of Greater Brandywine branch and speak with a membership director.
Healthcare Insurance Reimbursement
Many health insurance companies will cover the full or partial costs of membership or fitness class fees. Check with your insurance company to see if they participate.

7th Grade Memberships
Through our 7th grade initiative, graduating 6th grade and current 7th grade students across Chester County are invited to sign up for a free membership. To get started, bring a school ID, roster or report card and a parent or guardian to any YMCA branch.
Enjoy use of the YMCA indoor facilities and attend teen programming including classes, events and programs.
Active Duty Military
In partnership with the Armed Services YMCA and the Department of Defense, we are proud to offer memberships to eligible military families and personnel. To receive membership benefits from the YMCA Military Outreach Initiative, eligible military families and personnel should follow these steps:
Contact Military OneSource at www.MilitaryOneSource.com or 800-342-9647 to confirm eligibility and receive an eligibility form.
Visit your local YMCA of Greater Brandywine branch and speak to a Membership Director.
Complete and bring your eligibility form, Military ID and any other required documentation (generally your Deployment Orders or Military Services Headquarters approval letter) to your YMCA for verification.
